Armed with insight we're building a technical education system that faces the future: IfATE's future-facing innovation strategy
We are witnessing technological and global change at an unparalleled pace. A study from McKinsey found that by 2030 nine in ten employees will need to acquire new skills.
This strategy sets out IfATE’s vision for a dynamic, future-facing technical education system. It is critical that apprenticeships and technical qualifications provide the skills employers need now, and for the future.
IfATE is the voice of employers in the skills system. Employers are uniquely placed to work with others to look ahead and identify where skills needs are emerging.
The strategy has three principles:
- to achieve dynamism and stability;
- to make data-informed, employer-led decisions;
- to lead by example and play our part in the system.
IfATE will work with employers, innovators, technologists, and researchers to identify emerging skills needs and embed them into apprenticeships and technical qualifications. As a result, the economy and employers will be supported by a skilled workforce fit for the future.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the creation of this strategy.
